Traditional construction in far regional areas can be more costly due to the cost of organizing tradespeople and materials is higher than in the cities.  If this is the case, manufactured or transportable housing may be a more cost efficient alternative.

The term 'manufactured' or 'transportable' home is used to describe houses that are constructed on site before being delivered by a truck in one or more sections.  Not to be confused with mobile homes, manufactured homes are permanent structures like any other house once on location.
